After 15 years in the charter fishing business and a lifetime as a fisherman, Capt. Rick Bennett, better known as the Rod-Man, is retiring from the day to day activities as a charter boat captain. The Rod-Man however is not retiring from the business of fishing.
Capt. Rick will operate his business in three different areas. First, he will offer an “ON YOUR BOAT” Guided Trip. This is a great option for those that have a boat and want to learn and enhance their own fishing experience. Capt. Rick will show you the when, the where and the how. From rod and reel selection to terminal tackle to bait, Capt. Rick has the know how.
Second, Capt. Rick will continue building his custom fishing rods. A custom rod builder for over 25 years, the Rod-Man has crafted thousands of high quality fishing rods. Third, Capt. Rick has created his own charter booking service. This is perfect for those interested in the full charter experience. His booking service only represents the best guides in the area. Covering the area from Topsail to Southport, including Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and the Cape Fear River, charters are available for inshore, near shore, offshore and gulfstream fishing.
